Nothing is too childish for a grown-up person.

There just aren’t enough silly things on earth for men and for women to do. They would do them all. They would even go back to intrauterine habits, only if they could. If they can, they gladly skip normal nutrition and articulate words, “how do you do”s and normal walk, reasonable demands and discreet physiology.

The real fun starts from where they are however unable to forget the long, hard years spent with learning intricate social tricks and seduction devices involving dance, irony, mascara, refined lies, silk underwear, Calvin Klein perfumes, dismissing gestures, gastronomy, false naivetés and Kama Sutra.

…and the overlapping is hilarious, it’s beyond belief, it’s the drooling baby crawling on the floor euphorically babbling about sexual revolution and social democracy.

PS: And, of course, new painting is up. It’s called “Mind Games”, oil on canvas, 120 cm/100 cm.  It took me a month, 10 hours work/day to see it done. I never painted with such small, delicate strokes and I seriously question my ability (and will) to ever do it again. However, I dare say the real canvas looks better than the pictures I’ve taken. Don’t bid for this if you’re broke.

PS2: This fabulous video of The Sonics circulated gracefully on notorious social media a week ago. Can’t stop playing it since then.

PS3: The latest evening-ish phone picture is uploaded just for the sake of the trend; to be more specific, I was told it carries an “Avatar”-feeling. (Believe it or not, I saw the movie. It was so spectacularly bad, it made us all cringe and cry.)

    Adela you know I like you, but this one is just…
    Who’d buy this to hang it on a wall? It’s disgusting, can’t think of anyone having it in the living room. Come on my dear you’re too smart for this!

    You’re a GREAT writer who posts great music if you ask me :)

    Can’t think of anything except this: FASCINATING. Absolutely fascinating. It’s so charged, yet I don’t know in which way.

    There’s only one problem I’d like to mention: you have a great text – VERY ironic and insightful approach of infantile behavior that occurs in maturity -, a FABULOUS video – extremely exciting but in a strange hypnotic way, I’ll bookmark it and see it agian and again and again when bad days will come -, a fascinating painting, and your funny Avatar-pic, as a bonus. You should have made 4 serious blog posts out of this one.

    It says all about you: you’re too many good things at the same time. I keep returning to the blog post because I know I always find something I haven’t noticed before. That’s…tiring. I wonder how it feels to be you after all… ;)

    Mail me your new home address. I have a wedding invitation to send :)

    I never asked: how come you decided to paint when you had a different career going on? Did you always know you can do it so well?

    @Tony: that’s a very beautiful song by Eels. :)

    @Alin: I don’t know.

    @Steve: my dear: I don’t care about your – or anyone’s – living room, I’m not an interior designer. I don’t make paintings meant to decorate the walls. If you really care about the coziness of your home but you’re on budget, buy a framed wallpaper from IKEA. If you’re comfortable with money, buy decorative paintings; they sell really well in the US, try the local gallery.
    Thank you for appreciating my writing.

    @Marcus: I’ll mail you re the wedding, after all it’s just a short ferry ride away :)

    Why deciding to paint? I’m not sure I have an answer. Well, I might have one, but it’s long and complicated and, after all, unreliable. One thing is sure: I came all the way to here because I really wanted to, regardless of the results. Now I’m under constant pressure and I’m not so sure it’s good that I got what I wanted. However I keep going on with all my “things” and I’m very thankful for actually being able to. I keep lying to myself that this is as luxury as it gets :)
